Lawmakers head home, many issues unresolved

OLYMPIA — After 60 long days in Olympia, state lawmakers wrapped up another legislative session just before midnight Thursday, waiting almost until the final minutes to pass their last bills but leaving many on the table.

And while some major measures cleared the final hurdles to head to the governor, many — some deemed key by certain lawmakers — were left in the dust, the victims of failed deals and dead compromises.
